Dear Michael, Anna, Margaret, Alice and Bill, Please accept my condolences at the loss of your mom. As the years have passed, I have counted her as one of my mentors and guideposts as I was growing up. Advocating for me to take courses at ACC while I was still in high-school, exposing me to St. Lawrence University and spending time with your family, both in Salem and at the lake, were formative for me. I did however dread dusting her glass hats on the coffee table! I think of her with fondness, gratitude and respect. I hope you are all well at this time in your lives and God bless. Jackie McCuin

Your mother was a really special person to me. She helped me when I was a student at ACC & I know she was instrumental in my scholarships at Russell Sage. I always enjoyed seeing her & catching up on all the kids & grandchildren. She was very proud of all of you. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Rest in peace Peggy. I will always have fond memories of spending time at your home on East Broadway, riding Margaret's horse and climbing the magnificent tree beside the house. We will always be thankful to you and Butch for hosting a lovely brunch, at the lake, the day after our wedding. That was so thoughtful of you. My mom will miss her visits with you and I know has enjoyed having you back "home" in Salem for the last couple of years. God speed. Love, Lisa Green-Barber and Mitch Barber

Peg Felmly was a tour de force when she administered the Nursing program at A.C.C. That program was absolutely outstanding and it was a result of her tenacious work.

Rest in peace Grandma. I will always cherish my childhood memories from Hedges Lake, Thanksgiving's in Venice and your visits to Cincinnati. Taylor Pork Roll for breakfast, delicious dinners and of course lots of cookies and candy in bowls around the house...

The more recent years I've never understood...that said, i'm thrilled you were able to meet 2 of your 3 Lawton Great Grandchildren. Chase and Brady both remembered (last night when i shared the news of your passing) your Christmas cookies and your Christmas decorations from the last time we saw you in Georgia, December 2013. That will always be a a nice memory for us to look back at...they make Christmas cookies every year with their Grama and I'm sure Will will join the tradition soon.

I hope you are at peace and are now back together with Grandpa...and since i wasn't able to tell you while you were alive, I hope you are able to find peace with our family, even if it wasn't on earth...I'm sorry we were not able to solve that, but along with the childhood memories, is the greatest life lesson I will carry forward from our relationship...

Love,

Nate

What a wonderful tribute, and everything was so well stated.
