Lolly,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry was one of my favorite bosses. We (the Apprentice Training staff) graduated many apprentices throughout the years--most of the time stressful, but, we did make time for laughs--the day we took for Jerry for lunch when he decided Apprentice Training was just too much fun and it was time for him to move on to another chapter in his life. I remember the surprised look on his face when I walked in the restaurant with you, Lolly! And, what about the Apprentice Training 75th Anniversary! All the planning, brochure collating after work, committee meetings, Class 63 and 64 combined graduation, dinner at the Turf--with 600 people in attendance (including Congressmen Stratton and Soloman). Apprentice Training Branch was a family--the most time 5 people stayed together on one job--Bob, Joe, Sam, Jerry and I. There were others, too, but we (us 5 spent more time with Apprentice Training than other staffers). Where did the time go? Jerry got a "kick" out of Vince Liuzzi's nickname for him (Jerry "Crappy"); no disrespect was taken -- Heck, he got a kick out of it when I said it! Way back then, there were MANY nicknames for lots of people--Jerry not being left out of that one! That was back when life was more simple. I'll always remember the way Jerry treated me --with utmost respect (and vice-versa). He had a very "jovial" attitude--that attitude was contagious to everyone around him. So, for one last time, Jerry:
