Wilma McNall Obituary

Halfmoon- Wilma E. McNall, 86, of Halfmoon/Buskirk, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Ancramdale, NY on July 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Frederick and Bertha Rose (Drumm) Trinkle.

Wilma graduated from Cambridge Central School in 1954 and worked for Peabody & Bates in Cambridge as a bookkeeper. She then worked as a seamstress for Reis Mills in Varak Park and for Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Cambridge until she retired. Following retirement, she cleaned homes for local families - which she enjoyed very much.

Wilma was a member of the Halfmoon Senior Center where she enjoyed participating in many activities. She was also a member of the South Cambridge United Methodist Church and volunteered at numerous turkey suppers at the South Cambridge Grange. Wilma enjoyed gardening, ceramics, making dollhouses for her granddaughters, and painting many wonderful portraits that adorn her children’s and

grandchildren’s homes. Most importantly, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her and she enjoyed being with all of them.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Walter McNall in 1994; a brother, Carl Trinkle and a sister, Rose Korb.

Wilma is survived by her children, Walter (Carol) McNall of Halfmoon, Gary (Kathleen) McNall of Buskirk, Gregory McNall of Halfmoon and Carol McNall of Halfmoon; her brother and sister, Ernest “Butch” (Vera) Trinkle II of Buskirk, Rosemary (Timothy) Tripp of Glens Falls; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kayla Germain) and Zachary (Sarah) McNall, Ryan and Shannon (Jon Losche) McNall and Mathew, Michael and Annemarie Burke; her great-grandchildren, Brady, Parker, Adelyn and Sawyer McNall, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Wilma’s family expresses their heartfelt thanks to Community Hospice, especially to Julie and Colleen for their compassion and care given to Wilma and her family.
