Cambridge - William P. Brown, 76, affectionately known as "Eagle," a longtime resident of Cambridge, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. Born in Troy, NY on September 16th, 1947, William was the son of Philip Brown and Annabella Remington.

William graduated from Waterford High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. From September 30th, 1968 until June 30th, 1989, he worked as an Aircrew Egress Systems Technician and retired with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Following his military service, he dedicated 20 years to the New York State Department of Transportation as a Highway Worker, retiring in 2010.

A devoted fan of the New York Rangers and the New York Giants, William found joy in his hobbies and in sharing stories of his Air Force days. His beloved dog, Honey, was a cherished companion. Above all, William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, whose family was his greatest priority.

William is survived by his children: Marybeth Katlin (Christopher) Mahoney of Tampa, Florida; Daniel (Sheryl) Brown of Cambridge, New York; Heather Brown (Jarred Saville) of Cambridge, New York; and Bill (Jennifer) Brown of Rexford, New York.
