Salem, New York – Stanley M. Patrick, 87, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Born on August 20, 1938, in Granville, New York, he was the devoted husband of Martha Burke Patrick for 56 years and a loving father to Kelly Patrick of Salem, New York, Kathy (Steve) Penino of Saratoga, New York, and David (Kate) Patrick of Shushan, New York.
Stanley was a hardworking man who proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on July 7, 1958. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, Connecticut, later at Granville Gas & Oil, and at General Electric in Fort Edward, New York. He also operated his own lawn care business until two years ago.
Stanley especially enjoyed playing pitch with his family, spending time outdoors, and being together with those he loved. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and dearly loved his dog, Molly Mae.
In addition to his immediate family, Stanley is survived by his grandchildren, Katelyn (Bruce) Patrick of Wells, Vermont, Eden Patrick, Maggie Patrick, and Lauren Patrick, all of Shushan, New York. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Logan Patrick of Salem, New York, and Mack Mattison of Wells, Vermont.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Ethel (Farrar) Patrick; his brother, Kenneth Patrick; and his grandson, Tyler Bassett.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem, New York. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating. A reception will follow at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department.
Spring burial, with military honors, will take place at the Rupert Cemetery in Rupert, Vermont.
