Sandra Fisher Obituary

Cambridge - Sandra E. Fisher, 65, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital.

Born on March 14, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, Sandra was the daughter of the late Adam S. Fisher and Dolores Martinez Labriola. She was raised with strong family values that guided her throughout her life.

Sandra was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and continued her education at Hudson Valley Community College. Early in her working life, she was employed by Union Carbide in New York City. She later devoted her career to caring for others, working as an aide for ARC in both Rensselaer County and Saratoga County. Her work reflected her kind spirit, patience, and genuine desire to help those in need.

Sandra was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cambridge. She found joy in many simple pleasures, including painting—especially animals and scenic landscapes—gardening, caring for houseplants, and cooking for those she loved. Sandra especially enjoyed cookouts and family gatherings, where her warmth and generosity were always evident. She was known for her willingness to help others and treasured time spent with family and friends, particularly her mother, and held dear memories of camping in Lake George and Ticonderoga with her sister Vanja and their children. In quieter moments, she enjoyed watching old western movies.

Sandra is survived by her loving mother, Dolores Martinez Labriola of Saratoga Springs, NY; her children, Michael (Ceara) Fisher of Cambridge, John (Ashley) Fisher of Hoosick Falls, Joseph (Devon) Fisher of Cambridge, and Benjamin (Kaitlin) Fisher of Salem. She is also survived by her siblings, Adam L. (Eva) Fisher of Troy, NY, Vanja Bulmer of Pittstown, NY, Torgny (Tara) Fisher of Berlin, NY, Ylva Fisher of Troy, NY, and Sonya Fisher of Mechanicville, NY.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Sophia Fisher; Kylie and Lilly; Abigale Fisher; Juliet Fisher; Dolores Fisher; Olive Fisher; Thomas Fisher; Marcus Fisher; Alexander Fisher; and Michael Fisher. Sandra is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Sandra was predeceased by her stepmother, Ingeli Dahl Fisher; her stepfather, Michael Labriola; and her brother, Ismael Ortiz Martinez.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Cambridge American Legion.
