Obituary

Peggy Ann Bozek

September 7, 1954 -January 15, 2023

Eagle Bridge-Peggy peacefully passed away on Sunday January 15,2023 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Peggy was predeceased by her parents Mary and Theodore (Ted) Bozek of Hoosick Falls, her beloved Aunts Stella, Celia, and Peggy and Cousin Sandy.  Survived by the love of her life and best friend of 35 years, David M. Nolan; her stepchildren, Matthew (Brittany) Nolan and Megan (Justin) Walraed; Her step grandchildren, Anna Nolan, Olivia Nolan, and Atreyu Walraed; Cousins, Lorie (Kurt) Wynants and her children Lucas and Lindsey; Ann Wood, Mary Baldwin, Lynnie and Scott Burt and their children. In addition, Peggy had a very special relationship with Ann and William Nolan Sr.  and their family sharing many fond memories.

Peggy spent her childhood and early life in Clay Hill and graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School District. Peggy worked for several local businesses in Hoosick Falls, most notability for Goober’s Pizza where she earned the title “Miss Goober”.  Peggy devoted her life as a selfless caregiver for the ones she loved, she continued that noble trait until the day she passed away. Mary, Peggy’s mother passed away unexpectedly when she was fourteen years old. Peggy spent fifteen years caring for her father (Ted) after he suffered from a debilitating medical condition. Her honesty was unquestionable, and her pride was challenged by no one.

It would be impossible to find anyone as adaptable and tenacious as she; from running local businesses to becoming a skilled pioneer woman, with an unwavering and dedicated love for her spouse and their way of life.

“She had my heart at hello, she did, she had my heart from the moment I saw her, from that day to forever.”  David Nolan

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday January 20, 2023, at 2:30 pm at St. Patrick’s Church, 17 S. Park St., Cambridge, NY followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

God saw you getting tired,

And a cure was not to be;

So he put his arms around you,

And whispered, "Come to me”.

With tearful eyes we watched you,

And saw you pass away;

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
