Paul D. Moss

Salem - Paul D. Moss, 65, of Salem, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1960, in Glens Falls, the son of the late Frederick and Shirley (Stewart) Moss.

Paul attended Hudson Falls High School. He worked for many years as a plumber at the Saratoga Race Track. He also owned and operated an ice cream and hot dog truck, serving neighborhoods throughout the area. Paul was a longtime member of the Cossayuna Volunteer Fire Department where he served as President and was a member of the board of directors and he also served with the Fire Police. He also participated in the Fresh Air Fund and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Nix Moss. They were married on May 12, 2010, and shared 37 years together. Paul is also survived by his children: Terissa (Joshua) Keech of Hudson Falls, Paula Moss of Queensbury, Jacob Nix of Granville, Eugene Periard, Jr. of Salem and Rebecca (Raymond) Gannon of Cambridge.

He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. His sisters, Melanie (Donald) Liles, Pamela (Derrick) Dowd, and Tanya Moss, all of Hudson Falls, also survive him. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Services with military honors will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
