Paul C. Larson

Cambridge, NY - Paul C. Larson, 65, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Saratoga Hospital on Friday, January 3, 2025 after a courageous battle with liver disease and cancer. 
Paul was born February 6, 1959 in Staten Island, NY to the late Earl and Elizabeth (Besson) Larson.  
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Leslie (McGeoch) Guidon and stepdaughter, Bailey Guidon.  Paul is also survived by his sister, Allison Pellegrini of New Jersey and a nephew, Michael, as well as other extended family members.  Paul leaves behind his beloved dog, Angus, and his good friend who was like a brother to him, Dave Kennedy of Salem, NY.
Paul will be remembered as a man of many talents and interests, including fishing, riding his motorcycle, swimming in the Battenkill with the family dogs, reading, maintaining the family pool and watching many genres of movies.  Paul always enjoyed cooking and enjoyed the weekly family picnics.  He loved doing all the cooking for them, including his famous Mother Larson Beans!   He had a great sense of humor and a very dry wit.   Paul will be remembered as an avid animal lover, hence the nickname ‘Uncle Dog’.  Paul was quite an intellectual man but more importantly a man with a core of kindness, a gentle giant.    
One of Paul’s favorite places was the Staten Island Ferry.  He would always carry an extra sandwich or some money to help the homeless that he encountered there at every crossing.    
At Paul’s request, there will be no calling hours, but his family and friends will gather in the summer to honor his request for one great cookout in the back yard.
