Eagle Bridge – Michael V. King, 80, of Eagle Bridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1943 in North Adams, MA the son of the late Vernon Joseph King and Frances Mae Perras King.
Michael was educated in North Adams and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1964.
Michael was a meat butcher for Price Chopper Supermarkets for 35 years working at their stores in Massachusetts, Troy and Bennington until he retired.
He loved hunting, playing cards, bowling, golfing, working in his garden and taking drives enjoying the scenic views.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Conley and a brother, Marcus King.
Michael is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Detraglia King; his step-daughters, Lisa Andrews and Annie (Bob) Decker, all of Eagle Bridge; a grandson, Eric Decker.
Services will be held privately.
