Mary Ann (Geary) Boniface

South Cairo, NY - Mary Ann Boniface, 76, beloved wife of Robert Boniface, left to be with the Lord on July 4th, 2024, at Greene Meadows Nursing Home in Catskill, NY.

Mary Ann was born on March 29th, 1948, in Paterson, New Jersey, to Willis Geary and Anna Benzavitch. She graduated from Fairlawn High School in Fairlawn, New Jersey, and later embarked on a career that included positions at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY, and several telephone companies. Mary retired from Verizon in Troy, NY, where she had served as a dedicated telephone operator.

Mary enjoyed a fulfilling life enriched by her passions for reading, crafts, watching television and traveling. Mary loved and cared about her cherished friends and she had a special fondness for vibrant and colorful things, which reflected her vibrant spirit. Mary's love extended to her cherished cats, who were constant companions throughout her life. On November 29th, 1969, she married her husband, Robert Boniface, and together they shared many cherished memories.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Boniface; sons, Jason Boniface of Hudson, NY, and Michael (Kasey) Boniface of Salem, NY; and her dear sister, Katherine "Kippy" Dworetzki of Florida. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Geary and Anna Benzavitch, and her brother Joseph Potvin.
