Cambridge-Margot E. (Stoertz) Leonard, 89, formerly of Enfield, CT,  loving wife of the late Joseph  V. Leonard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Cambridge, NY after a long illness. Margot was born in Germany April 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Hans and Maria (Wachsmuth) Stoertz. Margot met Joseph while she worked for the U.S. Army in Europe and immigrated to the U.S. after they married. Margot became a U.S. Citizen and remained proud of her German heritage. She  will be remembered for her joyful and kind nature, her faith, and her love of music. She was a loving and supportive daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her three children, Rita Williams and her husband, Ted of Weare, NH, Laura Zeppetelli and
her husband, William of Cambridge, NY, Thomas Leonard and his wife, Therese of Cambridge, MA; her two beloved grandchildren, Jessica and Dean Williams; and extended family.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, August 13, 2018, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at 11:30 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Margot may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
