Eagle Bridge, NY - Louis Anthony Paul, Jr., 82 passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 after a brief illness at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA. Born on October 31, 1942 in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary (Grondin) Paul.
He grew up in Stony Creek and North Branford, CT, graduating from Guilford (CT) High School in 1961. Louis served proudly and honorably in the US Army stationed in Bindlach, Germany. He worked as a truck driver in several New England states and also worked in construction ending his career as a self-employed contractor in White Creek, NY.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca and his step-daughter Wendy (Jonker). He leaves behind his son Louis Paul, III and partner April Young of Greenwich, NY, son Leroy Paul of Whitehall, NY, daughter Maryann Faille and husband Rodney of Montgomery, MA and his former wife Carol (Wood) Paul of White Creek, NY; 9 grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan, Nataleigh, Kylie, Mykala, Katarina, Easton, Wyatt and Elyse. 4 great grandchildren Isabella, Austin, Ryder and Ariel. He leaves his brothers James and his wife Beatrice of Brighton, ME, Joseph of Madison, CT, Wayne and Robert of North Branford, CT and a sister Irene (Hathaway) and her husband Bruce of New Hampshire, 3 nephews Kevin, Keith and Tim and 1 niece Shani.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his ATV in Maine. Louis “Lou” was always ready to lend a helping hand and climb a ladder or fix a roof.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge, NY.
A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Louis’s memory to Moose Alley Riders ATV Club, Bingham ME or any Veterans organization.
