Granville, NY - Lisa Ann Zakrzewski, 61, of Granville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her residence.
Born on December 23, 1963, in Cambridge, New York, Lisa was the daughter of Beverly Schwabe of Salem and the late Howard Morrison. She began her education at Salem Washington Academy before moving to California, where she continued her schooling at Peters Junior High and Santiago High School in Santa Ana. Lisa eventually returned to her home state of New York.
Lisa held many roles throughout her life, each reflecting her hardworking spirit and her dedication to others. She managed New Physique in Cambridge and later devoted ten years as a compassionate Home Health Aide. Her work was more than a job—it was a reflection of her natural empathy and care for those around her.
Lisa had a deep love for animals and found joy in quiet, creative pursuits. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, and painting ceramics. But nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother to Shawn (Nicole) Morrison of Charleston, SC; Stephanie (Ben) Niles of Chesapeake, VA; and Steven Zakrzewski of Buskirk, NY. She also is survived by her long loving relationship with her partner Roger Herrington, beloved grandchildren: Raven, River, Blake, and Eli; her mother, Beverly Schwabe; her siblings: Annette (David) VanDeWater of Greenwich, Richard Meyer of Laguna Niguel, CA, Bonnie (Tim) Hackett of Virginia Beach, VA, Shari Peters of Cambridge, Tiffany (Michael) Benson of Eagle Bridge, NY, and Tenneale (Sean) Cossey of Cambridge, NY.
She was predeceased by her father, Howard Morrison; her brother, Joseph Morrison; and her stepmother, Sharon Morrison.
A memorial service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.
