Salem-Kevin J. Reilly, 68, of Salem, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at his residence.
Kevin was born in Bronx, NY and was the son of the late John and Mary Gildea Reilly. He graduated from Albert G. Berner High School in Massapequa, NY. Kevin enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving his country for four years and was honorably discharged in 1974.
Kevin was a truck driver all his working life. He worked for LeRoy Holdings for many years and then worked at Garelick Farms in East Greenbush until he retired in 2019. When Kevin retired, he worked part-time both Salem and Cambridge Auto Parts in Salem and Cambridge (NAPA).
One of Kevin’s hobbies was driving trucks! He loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed working outside at his home tinkering with things and working in his garden. He did love working on trucks and had an interest in history. He really loved being around family and loved all of the holidays. Kevin had a great sense of humor where he was loved by everyone that knew him. Kevin was a die-hard New York Yankee fan.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Myles Reilly.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon Worley Reilly; his children, Laura Weber of Waddel, AZ, Michelle McFarren of Glens Falls and Jessica Pace of Bennington; siblings, John (Maggie) Reilly of Colorado Springs, CO and Maura (Tom) Rapp) of Salem; sister-in-law, Debi Reilly of Salem. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Campbell, Amanda Pace, Alexandra Johnson, David McFarland, Erica Weber, Harley McFarren, Shannah Hammond, Avah Hammond, Frederick Stager, Jr. and Sadie Hammond; great grandchildren, Zachary, Bentley and Korbin Campbell and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 4-6 pm at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 West Broadway, Salem. A service will begin at 6:00 pm following the calling hours with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
Interment with military honors will be Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10:00 am in Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.
