Eagle Bridge-JoAnn Reid, 88, of Eagle Bridge, passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 1, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.
Born in Kingsland, AR on September 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Leftridge and Dolly (Culligan) Golden.
JoAnn graduated from Kingsland High School and married her husband, Frederick M. Reid in 1950. She and her husband lived in many areas of the United States and world as he served his country. They settled in Salem, NH and eventually moved to White Creek in 1992. JoAnn was a member of the Open Bible Baptist Church in Cambridge.
JoAnn loved quilting and was a member of the Peaceful Valley Quilters in Cambridge. She also enjoyed gardening, especially flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, James Reid in 2004; daughter-in-law, Marie Reid; her siblings, Mary Frances Cooper, Weldon Golden, James Oliver Golden, Wayne Golden, Charles Golden and Ronald Golden.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Frederick M. Reid; her children, William J. Reid (Donna Miller Reid) of Frederick, MD, Doris Reid Leary of Eagle Bridge, Michael E. Reid (partner, Sara) of Hebron and Joseph B. Reid of Eagle Bridge; siblings, Cletis Mae Cullins of Rison, AR, Pauline Davis of Kingsland, AR, Alene Thompson (late Jim) of New Edinburg, AR, Betty Sue Robinson of Warren, AR, Judy Hays of Wilmar, AR and John Paul Golden of Pine Bluff, AR. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
An interment service will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at a later date.
