Jayson William Martinez

Ballston Spa-Jayson William Martinez passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents on January 17th 2020 after batting autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (arpkd).

He was born January 16th 2020 at 1:20 am at Albany Medical Center and was lifted into the arms of Jesus at 1:20 am the next morning.

During his short 24 hours of life he touched many lives and is deeply loved and missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his older brother, Jaxson Martinez, his parents Joseph and Nyssa Martinez (Nichols), his grandparents, Thomas and Tina Nichols (Austin), Johnny and Diane Martinez (Lachtrupp); his uncles, Brandon Nichols and Lucas Martinez and his great grandparents, many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Martinez family would like to thank the Albany Medical Center staff, especially the NICU and OB team for the outstanding care they gave to both Jayson and Nyssa during their stay at the hospital.

Calling hours are from 10 am to 12 pm Friday, January 24, 2020 at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem.

An Angel Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Friday, January 24, 2020 at the North American Martyrs Roman Catholic Chapel, 100 Boulevard, Hudson Falls.

Interment will be in the Nichols-McCain Family Cemetery, Town of Jackson at a later date.
