Cambridge-Helen Agnes Wilkie Crum Decker, 98, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls. Born March 16, 1923 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sophie (Nuland) Nuland.
Helen graduated from Walton High School and married Eugene Crum in 1946 after he was discharged from the U.S. Navy.
Following Eugene’s death, Helen married Harry “Dutch” Decker, he passed away in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Cambridge and was active with the Cambridge Senior Citizens and the Order of the Eastern Star. Helen also volunteered at the Mary McClellan Hospital.
Helen enjoyed all of the friends she had and was thankful to all that provided her transportation when she could not drive.
In addition to her two husbands, she was also predeceased by a son, Eugene Crum and a sister, Annabell.
Helen is survived by a step-son, Darryl (Gail) Decker of Cambridge and their children, Candy (Steve) Griffin, Darryl (Sondra) Decker and Kristie (Chad) Burr and another step son, Larry (Claire) Decker of Hyannis, MA; a granddaughter, Cheryl (Joe) Smith; great grandchildren, Jessica & Andrew Smith, Rylie & Brice Burr and Harrison & Hailey Seanor.
The family will have a service at a date to be determined at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
