Franklin "Frank" Roy Hansen

Cambridge-Franklin “Frank” Roy Hansen, 83, of Cambridge, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls following a long illness.

Frank was born September 4, 1935 in Fort Edward and was the son of the late Niels and Mildred (Whittaker) Hansen.

He worked for over 35 years at H.E. Ignition in Cambridge as a machine operator and in maintenance.  Frank loved his job and knew the complete operations of H.E. Ignition like the back of his hand.

What meant the most to Frank was family, especially his grandsons, “Bri-Bri” & “Jon-Jon” who “grampy” knick named.  He loved going to watch them play little league, pee wee football, Jon’s Bmx Bike racing and Bri’s many competitions in the Demolition Derby plus anything they were involved in.

He also loved holiday dinners and family gatherings, Christmas was his favorite holiday.

Frank was predeceased by his grandson, Jonathan Roy Hunt; sisters, Laurena Young, Elsie Stevens; brothers, Marinus “Shorty” Hansen, Robert “Bob” Hansen and Francis Hansen.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Crystal Hunt; son-in-law, Brian Hunt, Sr.; a grandson, Brian Hunt, Jr.; an estranged daughter, Lori; grandson, Christopher; great granddaughter, Maggie.

He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Annebelle Hansen and several nieces, nephews and friends.

At Frank’s request, no services will be held.  He will be cremated and come back home with Crystal, Brian, Sr. and Brian, Jr.
