Cambridge-Elizabeth Ann Poitras, 56, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully Monday, September 7, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her immediate family after losing her battle with cancer.
Born April 26, 1964 in Lowell, MA, she is the daughter of Ernie and Elizabeth (Scanlon) Frobese.
Elizabeth graduated from Lowell High School and worked for the Lowell Regional transportation Authority for many years. She was a former member of the White Creek Fire Dept. and previously a child care provider for many years and was a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell and loved to read, go antiquing and shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a very caring person who made a difference to those hearts that she touched and for that she made this world a better place.
She is survived by her parents, Ernie and Elizabeth (Scanlon) Frobese of Nashua, NH; her husband of 34 years, Ronald Poitras; her children, Cyndi (Kaycee) Poitras and Brittany (Nacarlos Horsey) Poitras, all of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Aubrey Poitras and Nacarlos Horsey, III; siblings, Charles Cooper of Westford, MA, William Cooper of Lowell, MA, Carol (Richard) West of Nashua, NH and John White of Conway, SC and nieces and nephews.
A service will be at 10 am Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge with Rev. Thomas Zelker officiating.
