Debra Ann (Bloomer) Smith

Schaghticoke-Debra Ann Smith, 48, of Schaghticoke, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born January 21, 1973 in Troy, she was the daughter of Patricia Garzone (Mike) Bloomer of Pittstown and the late James Bloomer.

Debra graduated from Tamarac High School and worked as a health aide at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Malta.

Debra enjoyed making crafts, watching and feeding the birds and other wildlife.  She loved her pool and being with family.

In addition to her mother, Debra is survived by her husband of 27 years, William J. Smith, Jr. whom she married July 20, 1994; her children, Amber (Adam) Smith of Melrose, Britteny (Dan) Gipe of Fort Edward and Will J. (Brody) Smith III of Hudson Falls; brother, Daniel (Tammy) Bloomer of Mechanicville; sister, Denise (Jeff) Bloomer of Argyle; grandchildren, Bently Barber and Kendall Gipe.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are Monday, September 20, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main St., Schaghticoke.  A service will begin at 12 pm with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.

Interment will follow at the Millertown Cemetery in Johnsonville.
