Debbie L. (Wood) Sokol

West Hebron, NY - Debbie L. Sokol (Wood), 71, of West Hebron, NY, passed peacefully at home on December 6, 2025, after a long illness.  She was raised in Glens Falls and a graduate of Glens Falls High School, where she lived until moving to Hebron in 2009. 

Debbie was involved in her family’s restaurant, Je’Ray’s, for many years.  It was there that she developed her business, cooking, and service-oriented skills.  She went on to manage her husband’s construction business for 40 years. 

Although there are no words to truly honor Debbie as she fully deserves, there was not a more giving or considerate person who graced the lives of those she met.  She is pre-deceased by her father, Dayton Wood, her sister, Gerry Ptacek, and her stepson, Jason M. Sokol. 

Debbie is survived by her husband, Paul G. Sokol.  She was a loving mother to Aaron and Andrea Sokol, and an amazing stepmother to Kelly Sokol and Brett Evans of Annapolis, MD.  Debbie doted on her two granddaughters, Emma and Adeline.  She is also survived by her mother, Lillian Wood; a brother, Raymond Wood, and sister, Jackie Wood. 

Debbie will live on in the memories of her many friends and extended family and by all she served.  A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor in late May.
