The memorial service scheduled for Cleo Ford on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Kingsbury Seventh-day Adventist Church has been postponed due to the Coronavirus. The service will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.
Greenwich-Cleo Ford, age 88, passed to his rest on February 29, 2020. Born one of six boys in Nevada, Iowa, he lived his early years in Minnesota, Massachusetts and Michigan, but the best years of his life were farming in Cambridge, New York. He owned and operated Ford’s Dairy Farm beginning in 1957. After reluctantly selling his herd in 2005, he remained as active as possible with field work, always being happiest at work or helping others. He was a faithful member of the Joy of Troy Seventh-day Adventist Church where he also served as an elder.
Cleo was predeceased by his wife, Martha, in 2015.
He is survived by sons, Marvin, Danny (Daryl), Doug (Wendy), and Ron Ford, daughter, Holly (Bob) Gadd, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cleo rests peacefully awaiting Jesus’ return and the great reunion with Martha and so many family and friends.
Gifts in memory of Cleo may be made to the Cambridge Fire Department which provided many services to the Ford Farm over the years.
