Quaker Springs-Bruce R. Zeller, Sr., 80, of Quaker Springs, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his residence.
He was born October 9, 1943 in Albany the son of the late Philip J. and Celestia (Kirtland) Zeller.
Bruce served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era until he was honorably discharged in 1965.
Bruce worked for the Saratoga National Historical Park in Stillwater as a Master Carpenter for 30 years retiring in 2006.
He was a member of the American Legion Old Saratoga Post No. 278 in Schuylerville and the Goat Brothers Motorcycle Club where he coordinated their annual Turkey Shoot. Bruce loved woodworking, hunting, fishing and boating. Bruce’s favorite Thanksgiving story was “How did the Pioneers get their Name? It was Pie On Ears!”
In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his siblings, Marietta, Philip, Kenneth, Donald, Dorothy and Alan.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Adams Zeller who he married June 17, 1962; his children, Barbie (Jeff) of Eagle Bridge, Mary (Jim) of Salem and Bruce, Jr. “Punky” of Quaker Springs. He is also survived by a sister, Karen (Tom) Boudreau of Pittstown; his grandchildren, Jacob, Bruce and Caden; great grandchildren, Luke, Skylar, Teagan, Kylee and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

(The fund will help pet owners receive veterinary care for their beloved pets who would otherwise not be able to)
