Salem, NY-Braydon Alexander Keys, 22 days old, infant son of Alexander Keys and Samantha Hunt of Salem, was taken into the hands of the Lord as a special helper to watch over everyone on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 following a brief illness. Braydon was born on September 3rd at Albany Medical Center. Braydon is survived by his parents, Alex and Sam; his maternal grandparents, Marty and Lisa Hunt of Salem; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Cindy Keys of Salem and also Crystal and Greg Burch of Salem; paternal great grandparents, Marshall and Ruffle Boice of Salem; maternal great grandparents, Dick and Debbie Dempsey of Cambridge and Martin and Shirley Hunt of Cambridge; maternal great great grandfather, Nick Brown of Salem. Braydon also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins in Salem. Braydon was predeceased by his paternal great grandparents, Charles and Patricia "Patsy" Keys and Maternal great great grandmother, Verna Brown. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 West Broadway, Salem with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Salem. Following the service, everyone is welcome to join the family at the Hunt residence at 328 North Main St., Salem for refreshments. The family strongly suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Braydon be made to the Salem Vol. Fire Dept., P.O. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses who were involved in Braydon's care at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center especially Dr. Brown, Jessica, Jen and Chuck.
