Obituary

Buskirk-Alan R. MacNeil, 80, of Buskirk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital.

Alan was born at Newton Hospital in Newton, NJ to Raymond and Ruth Mary (Stone) MacNeil on May 25, 1942.

Alan graduated from Greenwich High School.  He worked as a farmer and also a machinist at Greenwich Machine Shop and Watervliet Arsenal.  He retired from the Watervliet Arsenal in 1999.

Alan was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Button) MacNeil January 16, 2022.

He was a loving father to his children; Robin (MacNeil) Kalinowski and son-in-law CJ, Howard "Sly" MacNeil, Tracy (Button) Churchill and son-in-law David, Anthony MacNeil, and Heath MacNeil and daughter-in-law, Meaghan.

He will be missed by his grandchildren; Breanna, Kaitlyn, Jason, Amanda, Lydia, Mary Alice, Catherine and Alexander as well as his great grandchildren, Addison, Jaiden, Bryson and Emmett.

Alan also leaves behind one nephew, Kassie and many cousins.

Alan's interests included gardening and working around his property, bowling, hunting/fishing, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.
