Hebron - Alan V. Lloyd, 86, of Hebron, NY, passed away on October 12, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1938, in Granville, NY, to Marion and Hugh Lloyd.
Alan graduated from Hartford Central School and went on to own and operate Lloydcrest Farm in Hebron, where he dedicated his life to farming and his family. He married his beloved wife, Jean, on October 28, 1967, and together they raised two sons, Tim and Eric, instilling in them a strong work ethic and a love for the land.
A proud resident of Hebron, Alan built his home across from the farm, where he found joy in watching television, Dick Ladd Square Dancing, and tending to his cows. He took great pleasure in working the fields and operating tractors, relishing the connection to the earth. Alan was actively involved in the Washington County Fair, participated in the 4-H Club, and enjoyed judging cattle. In 1959, he earned the distinguished title of Jersey King of New York State, a testament to his dedication and passion for dairy farming.
Alan is survived by his wife, Jean; his sons, Tim (Cindy) and Eric (Judy); and his grandchildren, Andrew and David Lloyd. He was predeceased by his parents.
