Obituary

White Creek-William M. Nolan, Jr., 60, of White Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in White Creek as a result of an ATV accident.

Will was born October 12, 1956 in Cambridge and was the son of Ann Tyminski Nolan of White Creek and the late William M. Nolan, Sr.

Will graduated in 1974 from Cambridge Central School and attended SUNY Morrisville.  He then worked for the family dairy farm, Nolan Bros. Farm.  He left farming and worked for the Town of Jackson Transfer Center and then worked for the Fort Mill Company for many years.  Will returned to farming establishing his own farm, Twin Maples Farm which he and his children operated.

Will attended St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge.  He had many interests including farming, deer and bear hunting with his beagles.  He also enjoyed fishing, reading about history and talking about politics.  Will showed cows each year at the Washington County Fair.  The most important part of his life was his family especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother Ann of White Creek, Will is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Mattison Nolan whom he married August 2, 1986; his children, Tricia (Tony) Pasos of Schuylerville, Shane D. (Jenna) Nolan of Greenwich, Kristin (Parker) Nolan of Chicago, IL and Candace (Erick Harrington) Nolan of Cambridge; his cherished grandchildren, Peter, Preston & Juliana Pasos, William & Wyatt Nolan and Marley & Dan Harrington.  He is also survived by his siblings, David (Peggy) Nolan of White Creek, Larry (Monica) Nolan of White Creek and Karen (Chuck) Ashton of Hebron; mother & father in-law, Clark & Patricia Mattison of Greenwich; brother-in-laws, Clarkie (Debbie) Mattison and John (Judy) Mattison, all of Greenwich and several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Patrick's Church, 17 South Park Street, Cambridge with Very Rev. Thomas Zelker.

Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cambridge.

There are no public calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in memory of Will be made to the William Nolan, Jr. College Memorial Fund for his grandchildren which can be made at any branch of Glens Falls National Bank.
