Obituary

Shushan-Vivian L. LaBombard, 82, of Shushan, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence.

Born September 10, 1933 in Arlington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Watson) Langlois.

Vivian had worked for Owlkill Farm in Cambridge and also at Mack Molding in Arlington, VT.  She then went to work for Stanley Tool in Shaftsbury, VT where she worked for 27 years retiring on September 1, 1995.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and word search.  Vivian was very particular in how her lawn looked and could be seen mowing the lawn and also trimming.  She loved to work in her garden.  Vivian enjoyed caring for her grandchildren from time to time.

Vivian was married to Earl LaBombard who passed away September 29, 2004.  She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Cecil Langlois, Bernice Langlois, Fred Langlois, Jr., Robert Langlois, Betty Beagle, Arthur Langlois, Evylene Beagle and her longtime canine companion, Frosty.

Vivian is survived by her children, Joyce (John) Dupuis of Salem, Wayne (Donna) LaBombard of Cambridge and Nancy LaBombard of Arlington, VT.  She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Peters of Whitehall; her grandchildren, Kama Havens, Kristy (Jason) Jeffords, Zachary (Jen) Dupuis, Brienne (Alfonso) Dupuis, Marcus (Erin) LaBombard, Jodie (Brett) Orzechowski and Skyler (Becky) LaBombard.  Vivian also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Ava Dupuis, Lauren Waszk, Phaeton Havens, Carter and Kane Jeffords, Lola and Oliver Orzechowski, Olivia Ramos-Dupuis, Ruby LaBombard and many nieces and nephews.  Vivian also had some very special neighbors who would help her when needed, Carrie & Keith Bleicher, Jennifer & Jack Skellie, Barb & Charlie Porter and their son Rick, Kathy Mauri and Carlton Peters.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 West Broadway, Salem with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.  Interment will be in Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge at a later date.

Everyone is invited to join the family for a reception in the church hall following the service.
