Cambridge-On March 28, 2016, Virginia Jonas Dersch, beloved wife of Daniel Polak; loving mother of Christina M. Dersch and her husband, Scott Bidwell; Barbara A. Dersch and her partner Richard Gosk; and the late Carol J. Dersch.  Dr. Dersch graduated from Goucher College and earned a doctorate in public health from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Her career included teaching at: Goucher College, Johns Hopkins University, Colby College, University of Maine, Union College, H.V.C.C. and Skidmore College. She also served as Chair of the Gerontology Program at Southern Vermont College. She served as Co-President of The Cambridge Historical Society from 1995-1999.

Calling hours will be held at Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
