In loving memory of Scott Joseph Blanchette.

Halfmoon, NY - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Scott, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Born on June 21, 1963 in Glens Falls, NY, Scott was the cherished son, brother, family member and friend whose kindness, humor and compassion touched everyone fortune enough to know him. Scott had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome, offering encouragement and laughter, even during difficult times. Growing up together, we shared countless memories that will remain in our hearts forever; moments of adventure, laughter, disagreements that never lasted, and an unbreakable bond that only siblings can understand. Scott’s love, strength, and unwavering support shaped our lives in ways words can never fully express. Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the Adirondacks. Scott’s nurturing spirit extended beyond his family to his beloved pets, Hooch, Finick, George and Squeakers, who brought warmth and laughter to his home. Scott will be remembered for his generous spirit, caring heart and the lasting impact he left on family and friends.

Scott is lovingly survived by his brother, David Bancroft, sister Delia Blanchette, brother, Brian Blanchette, brother, Edmund Blanchette; his wife, Dawn Blanchette, step-daughter, Katie Treadway, step-son, Guy Hammond and numerous nieces and nephews and his dear friends, Vincent and Nelson Rock. Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Hall, father, Edmund Blanchette, and a brother, Carl Bancroft, Jr. Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the time we shared and the memories that will continue to bring comfort. Scott will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
