Ocala, FL-Ruth Elizabeth Monteith Rapp, 90, formerly of Salem and Easton, NY, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, FL.

Born May 21, 1932 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Green) Monteith.

Ruth graduated from Salem Washington Academy.  She was a Certified Instructor of McGowan Rug Hooking Institute and held classes in her home in South Easton, NY.

Ruth married Henry L. Rapp on October 23, 1954 in Salem.  They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii.  Henry passed away on July 9, 2016 after 61 years of marriage.

Ruth and her cousin, Marion Morse spent their time researching their family genealogy which they found many cousins in England and Ireland.  They hope that many of the living cousins will keep their work alive.

Ruth is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Salem.
