Salem-Raymond L. Potter, 58, of Salem, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at his residence.

Born August 23, 1957 in Granville, he was the son of the late Floyd and Evelyn (Moffitt) Potter.  Ray attended Granville Central Schools and retired October 31, 2015 from Salem Central School where he worked as a custodian for 30 years.

Ray loved to play video games and watch sports, especially baseball and football; he was a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Ray is survived by his brothers and sisters, his twin, Richard (Rebecca) Potter of Salem, James Potter of Cossayuna, Thelma (Robert) Fiske of Salem, John (Beverly) Potter of North Granville and Shirley (Brian) Jiguere of Corinth.  He is also survived by two special nieces who were close to him, Megan Ehntholt and Rachelle Grover as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4-6 pm at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem.  A service will begin at 6:00 pm at the conclusion of the calling hours.

Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery in North Granville.
