Obituary

Greenwich-Philip L. Couch, III, 36, of Greenwich, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in the Town of Shaftsbury, VT as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Philip was born in Bennington, VT and is the son of Philip L. Couch, Jr. and Terresa "Terry" Green Couch of North Bennington and the husband of 10 years to Tara McLean Couch whom he married on February 11, 2006 and the proud father of his two daughters, Blakely Irene Couch and Tessa Bronwyn Couch, both of Greenwich

He was educated at Hoosick Falls Central School and had attended the Center White Creek Baptist Church.

Philip was an independent contractor for many years and then went to work for Commercial Diving Services of Connecticut as an underwater welder and had worked for the company for the last 8 years.

He had fun riding his motorcycle and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking and loved spending his time with his 2 daughters and with his wife Tara, they would ride around the village of Greenwich on their bicycles.

He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Philip L. Couch, Sr. and Brian Green.

In addition to his parents, wife and 2 daughters, Philip is also survived by his 2 sisters, Heather (Dan) Stevens of Cambridge and Patricia (David DeShane) Stefanovich of Hoosick Falls; maternal grandmother, Patricia Green of West Hoosick; paternal grandmother, Irene Couch of North Carolina; father-in-law, Lawrence McLean of Ballston Lake; nieces and nephews, David Couch, Philip Hayden, Savannah, Tierra & Tyler Stevens and Izabella Stefanovich.  Aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.

Visiting hours will be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the Center White Creek Baptist Church, Center White Creek Lane, White Creek.  A brief service will take place at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 3 pm.  Interment will be at the Center White Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Philip L. Couch, III Memorial Fund for his 2 children at any branch of TD Bank.
