Cambridge - Marian, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 21, 2017 with her loving husband taking care of her.

Survived by spouse, Raymond C. Robertson; mother to Scott, John and Rick; grandmother to Amanda, Ariel, Laura, Zachary, Aubrey, Hannah, Levi and Cassandra;  great-grandmother to Remi, Lily, Miles and Julia; daughter of the late Carl and Florence Hagmann; sister to Richard Hagmann.

Marian was a devoted wife and mother who put family first always. She was the super glue that held the family together with a close and loving bond. She was love, compassion, caring, energy, wildness and fire all rolled up into one. Somehow a rainbow, sunshine, and a thunderstorm were combined in her little human body. She volunteered at hospitals, was active in PTA and ran the best Cub Scouts den ever.

Marian was energetic and highly competitive in a fun, catch-me-if-you-can way. Always up for any activity, game or adventure, her love of life was contagious. Photography, painting, gardening, needle crafts, reading, fishing and cooking were some of her favorite hobbies.

Marian shared a passion with her husband for travel and the outdoors.   Wilderness canoeing and camping in the Adirondacks gave her great joy.    Every national park and scenic drive was her playground as she and her husband enjoyed 30 years of retirement toodling around in their RV from one beautiful lunch spot to another.

Her spirit has been freed from her human body but her candle of life still burns bright and fierce in everyone lucky enough to know her.    She will be missed greatly but carried tenderly in the hearts of her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.
