Buskirk-Margaret M. Pietropaolo, 88, formerly of Buskirk, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, VT.

Born December 10, 1928 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Laura (Fornabai) Autera.  Margaret attended Girls Vocational School in Westchester County.

She was a receptionist for Carl Zeiss Microscopy Co. in Thornwood, NY for many years.  Margaret enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting.  She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were a big part of her life.

Margaret previously lived in Yonkers before moving to Buskirk 22 years ago and had attended St. Patrick's Church in Cambridge.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Rosario S. Pietropaolo who passed away December 15, 2006.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Carol Vellucci and her husband Lawrence of Buskirk; her grandchildren Anthony Vellucci and his wife Kimberly, Lawrence Vellucci, Jr. and his wife Janine and David Vellucci and his wife Stephanie; her great grandchildren, Alexander, Alyssa, Laura, Victoria, Nicholas, Abigail and Emily; a brother, Vincent Autera and his wife Penelope of Florida.

Calling hours are from 6-8 pm Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Tuesday, July 25, 2017 St. Patrick's Church, 17 South Park St., Cambridge with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.

Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
