Shushan-Louise C. Saari, 93, of Shushan, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Louise was born March 19, 1924 in Cambridge, Town of Jackson and was the daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Palmer) Schroll.

She grew up in Camden Valley and attended a one room schoolhouse in Camden Valley, where she was the last surviving graduate, and then attended Salem Washington Academy.

Louise was a homemaker and also worked at the Asgrow Seed Co. in Cambridge for many years.  Her husband, Arne, built their home in the late 1940's and Louise was currently living in the same home.  She enjoyed reading, craft work, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and loved animals especially her cats.

Louise was predeceased by her husband, Arne Augusti Saari; a sister, Catherine Evertte; two brothers, Robert Schroll & Richard Schroll.

Louise is survived by her three children, Arne (Mary) Saari of Cold Spring, NY, Dennis (Colleen) Saari of Shushan and Larry (Linda) Saari of Brookline, NH.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Erik, Brian, Erin & Davin and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, November 20, 2017 at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
