Salem-Kathleen "Kathi" Denniston, 62, formerly of Salem, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 2, 2019 in Tuscon, AZ.

Kathi was born in Glens Falls on June 17, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Joan Pushee.  Kathi was a 1975 graduate of Salem Washington Academy.  She worked as a waitress and bartender for several restaurants including the Blacksmith Shop and Howard Johnson's, both in Glens Falls.

Always a free spirit, Kathi moved out west in 2017.  She enjoyed tennis, traveling and her work as a school bus driver and considered the students as her own kids.  Kathi was devoted to her family, her dog Lucky and her close friend Nancy Holmes of Arizona.

Kathi is survived by her sister, Jennifer Pushee of Salem; a niece, Felicia Smith of Salem; a nephew, Mark Smith of Bristol, VT; great nephews, Mason and Caden.

A celebration of Kathi's life will be from 2-4 pm Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 West Broadway, Salem.  A religious service will begin at 4:00 pm.

Memorial contributions in memory of Kathi may be made to the ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY  12205.

Kathi would like to be remembered for dancing in the moonlight.
