Woodstock, GA-Joseph F. Muhlig, 52, of Woodstock, GA, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Woodstock.

Joe was born December 27, 1964 in Troy and was the son of Frederick N. Muhlig of Greenwich (formerly of Salem) and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson Muhlig, who passed away February 27, 2017.

He was a 1982 graduate of Salem Central School and continued his education at SUNY Plattsburgh earning a Bachelor's Degree in 1986.

Joe had a successful 30 year career in marketing.  He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased by his canine friends, "Buck" and "Ralph".

In addition to his father Fred of Greenwich, Joe is survived by a brother, Frederick C. "Rick" Muhlig and his wife Jennifer of Davie, FL; a sister, Karen E. Pelton of Salem, NY; his love of 14 years, Victoria Katsikis of Woodstock, GA; aunts, an uncle, nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Holy Cross Church, 249 North Main St., Salem with the Very Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem with a bereavement luncheon in the church hall following the committal service.
