Cambridge-Joel Michael Harris of Cambridge, NY, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at age 75.

Joel was born January 3, 1946 in Glen Ridge, NJ to Jerome Harris and Muriel Dorf Harris.  He married Paula Marlene (Meyers) Harris on January 18, 1980, and together they raised two sons, Joshua and David.  Raised in a Jewish tradition, Joel made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord on January 17, 1985, and he endeavored to lead a Christian life, most recently in communion with the First Congregational Church of Williamstown, MA.  Through a decades-long career in finance, Joel served as the President of the Harris and Sons Steel Company before pursuing a career as a freelance financial planner and investment consultant.

He loved cooking, golden retrievers, bird watching, reading mysteries, and solving crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his wife Paula, son Joshua and daughter-in-law Cheryl, son David, grandchildren Tobiah and Gabriel, and brother Steven, in addition to daughters from a previous marriage, Michele and Joy and their families.

A private memorial service will be held in Cambridge, NY.
