Schuylerville-Jerry Giovannone, Jr., 57, of Schuylerville, passed away Friday night, January 20, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

Jerry was born February 15, 1959 in Schenectady and was the son of Myrtle Frye Giovannone of Niskayuna and the late Jerry Giovannone.

He graduated in 1977 from Niskayuna High School and worked in the auto body business all of his working life.  He was currently working for Fuccillo Ventures in Clifton Park as an auto body specialist.

Jerry loved cars and was a member of the Northway Church in Clifton Park.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his son, Nicholas Giovannone on August 4, 2012 and his beloved canine friend, Luke.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joann Weber Giovannone whom he married September 10, 1988; his mother Myrtle Giovannone of Niskayuna; siblings, Lynn (Michael) Trentini of Niskayuna, Louise Giovannone of Burnt Hills and Michael Giovannone of Niskayuna; 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Jessica, Christina and Justin.

Jerry was a big hearted, kind, generous & selfless person.  He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone but would seldom ask for help from others.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.  A service will begin at the conclusion of the calling hours at 12:00 pm.

Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
