Cambridge-Irene Joan Cotterill, 87, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Birmingham, England March 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ellen (Sutton) Day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Cotterill.  Irene worked for many years at Price Chopper on Railroad Place in Saratoga Springs.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine Tillman and Carolyn Campbell; her sons-in-law, Harry Tillman and Sean Campbell; her grandchildren, Cija Kenyon-Thacker, Ashley Zahn, Scarlett Campbell and Tristan Campbell.

She will be remembered as a loving, caring and generous mother and grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 11 am to 12 pm at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.

A graveside service will be held afterwards at 1 pm at the Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs.
