Cambridge-Helen H. Ackerly, 92, of Cambridge, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls.

Born in Suffern, NY September 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Archibald & Dorothy Schrott Hamilton.

Helen and her husband enjoyed camping.  She was a homemaker and a member of the former Embury United Methodist Church in Cambridge.

In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Allen C. Ackerly who passed away January 13, 2007; a brother, James Hamilton.

Helen is survived by a son, Allen H. "Sam" Ackerly of Northumberland; 2 grandchildren, Gregory and Samantha; her caregiver and friend, Alice Brownell of Cambridge.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
