Stillwater, NY – Heidi Lyn Braymer passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital, beginning her journey to Heaven. At her side was her loving fiancé/husband, Jeff Carter, who had been a part of her life for more than 30 years.

Heidi was a beautiful mother to two daughters and a loving grandmother to five grandchildren. She grew up in Cambridge, NY, and attended Cambridge Central School. She worked in healthcare for more than 25 years and was also the Office Manager for The Country Gentleman in Saratoga Springs.

For more than 20 years, Heidi was the “legs, hands and voice” for her favorite client, friend and confidant, Robbie, whom she loved dearly. Helping others came naturally to Heidi, and she was always willing to lend a hand in any way she could.

Heidi had a great love for her many dogs throughout the years. She especially enjoyed spending time with Jeff, and along the way she became quite the foodie and his favorite sous chef. She loved being in the kitchen and took great pride in her herb and tomato garden. She also loved her vacuum sealer, making sure that nothing went to waste and that she and Jeff could enjoy great food together. To say she ate royally during those years would be an understatement.

Heidi enjoyed her favorite restaurants and could be ready to go at the drop of a hat—or, in her later days, at the drop of her favorite beanie. She enjoyed a well-crafted Bloody Mary with shrimp and bacon for an occasional brunch, a “Filthy 3 Olive Martini, Florida style” now and again, and fresh-shucked oysters, which always brought a smile to her face. Her baked macaroni and cheese was legendary and will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to get a forkful.

Heidi was legendary for her love, and she just seemed to “know things.” Her favorite place in the world was simply wherever she was with Jeff. Whether they were doing something or doing nothing at all, it did not matter. She loved taking care of him, and that love was very much mutual.

Family was incredibly important to Heidi, and she loved both her family and Jeff’s family dearly. She especially looked forward to visits to her cousin-sisters’ hair shop in Cambridge for a pedicure. Those visits were much more than an appointment, as aunts, uncles, nieces and children would gather around her with love, kisses and, of course, a little bit of loving family gossip.

Heidi also treasured her lunches with her best girlfriend, Colleen. She would often study the menu the night before in anticipation of their time together, looking forward to the food, fellowship, laughter and, naturally, the gossip they would share.

Heidi was a faithful member of Lakewood Church, where she attended every Sunday. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she often encouraged others to visit and experience the church for themselves.

Heidi is survived by her daughters, Stasha Harrington (Jordan) of Cambridge, NY, and Katelyn Young (Tyler) of Shushan, NY; and her five grandchildren, Taya Sharpe, Peyton Young, Skylar Young, Khloe Dufty and Carter Harrington.

She is also survived by Jeff’s family, including his father, Bob Carter (Susan); his mother, Nancy Lesh (Marty); his brother, Tom Carter (Lisa); his sister, Lori Bonn (Kevin); and nieces and nephews Carter Bonn (Morgan), Steve Carter, Zach Bonn (Tiana), Bekah Cunningham (Michael), Moriah (Stevie), Leah Carter, Caleb Carter and Sierra Bonn, along with all of their children.

Heidi is also survived by members of her late mother Deborah Granger’s family, including her aunt, Lynn Disorda (Bill); uncle, Terry Granger (Claire); uncle, Brian Granger (Diane); cousins Darby Brundige, Kimmy Danio (Greg) and Nicky Disorda (Lani); and nieces and nephews Chaylan (Chris), Emily, Dean (Elizabeth), Cameron (Navya), Cody (Shyanne), Julian and Olivia.

She is also survived by members of her late father Edward Braymer’s family, including her aunt Connie; uncle Jim Braymer (Debbie); uncle Tom Braymer (Karen); great-uncle Bert Braymer (Perky); and cousins Eric Braymer (Sarah) and Scott Braymer (Susanna).

Also surviving are Albert Young and members of the Young family.

A Celebration of Life for Heidi will be held in early October, with the date to be announced.
