Fort Edward-Gerald J. Sloan, 69, of Fort Edward, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. Born July 7, 1947 in Granville, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Fitzgerald) Sloan.  He graduated from Salem Washington Academy and had worked for Saint Gobain in Granville and was transferred to Worcester, MA.  He later worked for Finast Foods in Windsor Locks, CT as a Transportation Manager until he retired. Gerald enjoyed watching NCIS and football, especially the New England Patriots. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Tobin Sloan; a son, Gregory Sloan of Fort Edward; a brother, Robert (Tina) Sloan of Amsterdam; sister-in-law, Patti Anne (John) Molnar of Ohio; nieces, Lindsay (Michael) Thomas of Amsterdam, Erinn Molnar and Alison Molnar, both of Ohio and several cousins. A service will be private at the East Hebron Cemetery.
