Saratoga Springs-Elaine DeMarsico, 80, of Saratoga Springs, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital.

Elaine was born February 2, 1936 in Manhattan and was the daughter of the late Burl and Mary (Malone) Owens.  She was educated in Manhattan and worked for National Security Agency at Fort Meade, MD as a cook for many years prior to retiring.

Elaine enjoyed fishing, gambling, especially at the horse racing tracks.  Other interests that she had were dancing, listening to music and spending time with her family.

Elaine is survived by her two children, Valerie Eldred of Cambridge and George DeMarsico of Middletown, NY.  She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Andy Harrington, Geina Eldred and Paula Eldred; 3 great grandchildren, Angelina Eldred, Collin Daniels and Austin Harrington.  Elaine is also survived by her siblings, Frank (Connie) Owens of Greenwich, Veronica (Gordie) Davis of Greenwich, Yvonne Crotty of Argyle and Rita Allen of Hudson Falls and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 West Broadway, Salem with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.

Following the service, everyone is welcome to join Elaine's family in the church hall for refreshments.
