Johnsonville, NY-Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle and friend, Dwayne Lee Lipinski passed away May 11, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11:00 am, at the Christ Methodist Church, 22 Bridge Street, Johnsonville, NY 12094. A reception for family and friends will be held, immediately following, at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, 69 Stillwater Bridge Road, Schaghticoke, NY.

Born June 21, 1935 in Howard County, Indiana, Dwayne enjoyed an incredibly full and happy life along side Peggy. The family they raised together was their greatest joy and strength. Dwayne, or PopPop as his grandchildren called him, also cherished the love and affection of many dear friends.

After graduating from Western High School, he earned an Animal Science degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, 1956, and married the love of his life, Peggy, that September. They relocated to Valley Falls, New York in 1958. His love for agriculture began at a young age, on a neighbor's farm, and continued through his career at the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. He retired as Deputy Commissioner in 1995.

During his career, Dwayne was involved in numerous national, state and local agricultural organizations. He had a gift of being able to communicate with farm families, the effects and consequences of Ag policies and programs, in a way they could understand and relate to. He treasured and respected these grassroots relationships and as a result, his positive impact on agriculture continues to be felt across the state.

Dwayne was a premier showman and he loved sharing his time and talents with anyone who was interested. Showman of all ages, sought him out for advice and help on livestock breeding, grooming, showing and judging. But his favorite students were his children, and later grandchildren, whom he taught to love and cherish these special times at the fair with him.

Dwayne will forever be remembered for his impact on so many lives through his unconditional desire to help others succeed, his pure joy of family and friends, and his passion for living a life filled with love.

Dwayne is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Peggy Lou Noland, and the family they raised together: son, Bill (Alicia), grandchildren Abby (Jay), Dwayne (Teal), Steven(Libby), and Emily; daughter Tanya (Peter), grandchildren Sean, Kirk (Miles), and Maegan; daughter Melanie (Drew), grandchildren Samantha (Mark), Tim (Shannon), Ben, and Dan; daughter Stephanie (Dan), grandchildren Riley, Nolan, and Reese; great grandchildren Kyle, Mallory, Colleen, Will, Andy, Gabe and Tucker.

Dwayne is also survived by 3 brothers, John (Shirley), Richard (Connie), Tom and sisters, Millie Oscar) Paul, Kay (Ron) Mickelson, Cindy (Roy) Nehl, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding his death was the death of a brother, Jim and sister, Patty, brother-in-law, Max and sister-in-law, Judy.
