Troy - David Patrick Wilkie, 57, passed away November 7, 2023 after a sudden illness.

David is survived by his mother, Patricia Wilkie, sister, Kelley McGowan (Joseph), niece, Kailyn Foy (Stephen) and nephew, Ryan McGowan (Lyndsay). He is preceded in death by his father, David Wilkie.

David, born September 19, 1966, held a special place in his family and he was a steadfast friend to all. He met life's challenges with bravery, determination, and a quick wit. The ARC of Rensselaer County and Brunswick Center provided David with a strong and committed community throughout his adult life. The Wilkie family is forever grateful to the many people of ARC, and his community residence, who loved David and helped him meet his greatest potential. His exceptional sense of humor, keen observation skills and his frequent catch phrase, "have a heart," will be greatly missed, but not forgotten, by all those who loved him. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor David in June of 2024.
