Salem-Charles H. "Chuck" Bailey, 52, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Chuck was born December 1, 1965 in Glens Falls and was the son of the late Charles J. Bailey and Louise M. Burch.  He was the adopted son of Jody Kilburn.

He was an automotive mechanic for over 25 years, his last employment was with Rushinski's Automotive in Shushan for over 15 years.

Chuck loved to work on vehicles and spending time outside with his sons.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Erica Suzanne Bailey-Vincent.

Chuck is survived by his sons, Charles James Vincent, Daniel James (Emily) Vincent and Dalton Kristopher Bailey; a brother, Scott Bailey.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be at 3 pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at the home of his son Dan, 5320 State Route 22, Salem with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.  Following the service, all are welcome to an outdoor Bar-B-Que and visit with Chuck's family and share memories.
