George, Jr.
Oct 1, 1953 — Apr 23, 2025
Salem - Carl H. George, Jr., 71, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on October 1, 1953, in Exeter, New Hampshire, Carl was the son of the late Carl H. George, Sr. and Joanne Chase George. He graduated from Sanborn High School in Sanborn, NH, and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army.
Carl spent much of his working life at Mack Molding in Arlington, Vermont, where he was a dedicated employee for 25 years. He retired in 2010 as a Paint Supervisor, respected by his coworkers for his steady leadership and attention to detail.
A man of simple joys and steadfast love, Carl found the greatest happiness in life's everyday moments. He enjoyed reading, casting a line on a quiet day of fishing, and settling in to watch his favorite television programs—especially NASCAR races. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and laughter. His loyal dog, Buddy, was a constant companion and source of comfort in his later years.
Carl was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 39 years, the late Carolyn Henecke George who passed away October 7, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Carl H. George, III (Amy Boyce) of Salem; his son-in-law, Jeffrey S. Crosier, Jr. of Hebron; cherished grandchildren, Carl H. George, IV, Kady Crosier, Olivia Crosier, and JC Crosier. Carl is also survived by his siblings: Cindy Busong (Glen), Gary George, Mark George, Randy George, Pam George, and Rick George, all of New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn and his daughter, Tanya L. Crosier who passed away December 1, 2014. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
A private family service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem, with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating. In honoring Carl's wishes, the service will be a quiet time of remembrance among those closest to him. To express your sympathy or share a memory of Carl, please visit www.gariepyfuneralhomes.com
